Low foot end and no foot end
Low Foot End options are available on all of our beds with the exception of the Oxley.
The low foot end option (otherwise known as a doona end) is 60 cm (600 mm) high.
Displayed here on one of our original Chelsea beds. Our original Chelsea did not have a curve in the top horizontal bar of the insert panel as it does now. This version is still available.
- low foot end.
With the low foot option the foot frame stands at 600 mm high. The frame sits slightly lower than mattress height as depicted (this will also depend upon thickness of your mattress). A simple horizontal bar is cast into the main frame by way of two feature castings of the particular bed style that you chose. The only bed that we do not offer this option with are the Somerset and the Sussex.
- "No foot end"(Head board & Slats)
Our "no end" bed is also known as a "Headboard and slats" bed. With this bed the legs at the foot of the bed are fully welded to the foot end cross rail so that nothing extends above the base of the mattress - perfect for sitting on the end of the bed or for those extra long legs when laying down.
